Violations / complaints
1. Purpose and Scope
As part of ongoing reforms to the USC Elections Rules and Violations Policy and related procedures, this form is designed to streamline the submission of complaints during the elections period. It ensures that complaints are:
- Triaged by severity (minor, moderate, or major)
- Investigated efficiently and transparently
- Submitted with sufficient detail to support investigation
- Accessible to all undergraduate students
What Happens After You Submit?
Initial Review (within 24 hours) – Your complaint is checked for completeness.
Assessment – It’s reviewed and classified by severity (mild, moderate, or severe).
Investigation – Depending on the case, the EGB will review and follow up if necessary.
Outcome – You’ll be notified of the result (typically within 1–5 business days).
Public Report – If a violation is confirmed, a redacted report may be posted to the Elections site.
Appeals – You may appeal a decision through a separate process [link to appeal form].
Note: To ensure fair processing, anonymous complaints or those without sufficient detail may not be accepted.
