There are currently two at-large student vacancies on the University Senate. Per section A.4.2(d) of the Senate Election Procedures, vacancies are to be filled by USC appointment. That means we need you! If you are interested in shaping academic policies and procedures, this is the place for you. The process: candidates must submit this application by 11:59pm on September 25th for review and shortlist. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by 5:00 on September 27th and invited to attend the September 28th meeting of Council (will take place in UCC 269 beginning at 7:00pm). Shortlisted candidates will have 2 minutes to present their candidacy to Councillors, who will then have an opportunity to ask questions. The two positions will then be filled by ranked ballot vote. Candidates must be available to attend the Council meeting, or be willing to send a two minute video to melissa.kamphuis@westernusc.ca by noon on September 28th.
